Crispy Coconut Chicken Recipe

This easy and simple dish is gluten-free. This crispy coconut chicken dish is most liked by the kids as well. Using cornstarch makes it too healthy. You can enjoy this dish with many sauces flavors.

Serve: 4 person


  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 large eggs(lightly beaten)
  • Vegetable oil for fry
  • 4 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 3 medium boneless chicken breasts(cut into strips)


  • In a medium pan, add 3 inches of oil. Keep this on medium flame and allow them hot.
  • In a bowl mix salt, pepper, cornstarch. Keep them aside.
  • In another bowl, add beaten eggs.
  • In the third bowl, add coconut flakes.
  • Now take the chicken and submerge into cornstarch mixture. Then plunge in to beat properly. Then dip in coconut flakes and keep aside on a plate. Do this process with all chicken.
  • When chicken is ready, check the oil.
  • Once the oil is hot enough, properly add one piece of chicken at a time in oil. Be sure that chicken does not stick together.
  • Cook chicken in the oil for about 4 minutes then flip and allow another side to cook, approx 4 minutes.
  • Smoothly remove golden colored chicken and set on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Once all the chicken is cooked, serve with your favorite sauce. You can also enjoy plain, with honey or sweet and sour sauce.
